California's SGIP pays up to $200/kWh — whole-home backup from there.

SCE rates hit some of the highest peaks in the country, and PSPS wildfire shutoffs happen every fire season. California's SGIP pays up to $200/kWh on battery storage — about $5,400 on two Tesla Powerwalls — and the 30% federal credit stacks on top. Your lights stay on through every shutoff.

First — are you eligible?

If your bill says SCE, you may qualify.

California's SGIP is open to SCE residential customers installing a new battery system. If SCE is your utility and you own your home, you likely qualify — we confirm before anything is signed. Rebate amount depends on system size, funding availability, and program tier. Final eligibility and amount are set by the program.

High rates, shutoff season

SCE rates spike — and PSPS cuts your power without warning.

Southern California Edison has among the highest peak rates in the US, and Public Safety Power Shutoffs happen every fire season. A battery keeps your home running when the grid goes down — and California's SGIP rebate makes it easier to afford.

Questions, answered.

How does the SGIP rebate work?+
California's Self-Generation Incentive Program pays you per kWh of battery you install — up to $200/kWh for income-qualified customers, with general market rates around $150/kWh. On two Tesla Powerwalls (27 kWh) that's up to $5,400. We handle the application. Final amount is set by SGIP and depends on funding availability.
Do I need solar panels?+
No. The battery qualifies for SGIP on its own — backup and bill savings work without solar. If you have solar, a battery lets you store what you generate instead of exporting it for low credits.
What does it cost per month?+
After SGIP, the 30% federal credit, and bill savings from avoiding SCE peak rates, many homes see a net monthly cost near $0. Your actual financed payment depends on system size and credit — we show you the real numbers before anything is signed.
What are PSPS shutoffs?+
Public Safety Power Shutoffs are planned outages SCE triggers during extreme fire weather. They can last 1–5 days. A battery keeps your home running — lights, fridge, medical equipment — through the full shutoff.
